Sodium Percarbonate

2Na₂CO₃·3H₂O₂ · MW 314.02 g/mol · Solid Hydrogen Peroxide Source

Chemical & Filtration Products of Texas supplies bulk sodium percarbonate — a stable, solid source of hydrogen peroxide — to water treatment facilities, environmental remediation contractors, industrial cleaning operations, and oilfield service companies across Texas. Sodium percarbonate releases active oxygen on contact with water, making it an effective oxidizer, bleaching agent, and disinfectant with no halogenated residuals. Available in technical and coated (stabilized) grades; packaged in bags, super sacks, and bulk.

Industrial Applications

Water Treatment & Remediation

In-situ chemical oxidation (ISCO) for groundwater and soil remediation — sodium percarbonate releases hydrogen peroxide on contact with water, oxidizing chlorinated solvents, petroleum hydrocarbons, and other organic contaminants. Also used for lake and pond restoration to reduce BOD and algae.

Industrial Cleaning & Bleaching

Oxygen-based bleaching agent for pulp and paper, textiles, and laundry operations. Releases active oxygen in solution to remove stains and brighten surfaces without chlorine. Preferred for color-safe bleaching and environmentally sensitive applications.

Disinfection & Sanitization

Broad-spectrum oxidizing disinfectant for food processing equipment, hard surfaces, and agricultural applications. Effective against bacteria, fungi, and biofilm. Breaks down to sodium carbonate and water — no halogenated residuals.

Oilfield & Produced Water Treatment

Oxidizing biocide and H₂S scavenger for oilfield water systems. Sodium percarbonate controls sulfate-reducing bacteria (SRB), eliminates hydrogen sulfide odor, and reduces iron fouling in produced water handling systems.

Pulp & Paper Processing

Peroxide bleaching stage in ECF (elemental chlorine-free) and TCF (totally chlorine-free) pulp bleaching sequences. Provides controlled hydrogen peroxide release for brightness development without damaging fiber.

Aquaculture & Pond Management

Oxygenation and disinfection of aquaculture ponds, fish hatcheries, and recreational water bodies. Sodium percarbonate raises dissolved oxygen levels and controls pathogenic bacteria without leaving harmful residues.
